Performance

The base engine for the C-Class is a turbo-four rated for 255 horsepower. It is powerful and comes with a smooth automatic transmission with nine speeds. There's a special set of upgrade engines, one for each of the three AMG performance trims. The first one is a 385-horsepower turbo-six, the second is a turbocharged V8 rated for 469 horsepower, and the third is that engine retuned for 503 horsepower. The AMG engines have incredible power along with specially modified transmissions to handle the advanced gear shifting. Design

Trims

There are four trims for the C-Class. Their organization is a bit unusual. Instead of being a steady progression of added features, the base trim has just about all the core features. In order, those trims are the AMG C 43, with the 385-horsepower V6, the AMG C 63, with the 469-horsepower V8, and the AMG C 63 S, with the 503-horsepower V8.
